was founded in Brazil in 2006 to develop social technologies that support the transformation of marginalized people into active citizens through economic, political, and cultural inclusion.

Instituto ReCivitas involves re-thinking social structures to find new ways of interaction to escape the traps of deprivation and scarcity.

The organization’s activities include providing information and advocating for Basic Income initiatives across networks in conferences and through training opportunities and publications.
In 2016, ReCivitas launched the Basic Income Startup and the Basic Income Projects’ Network, which seeks to establish partnerships with local communities to share knowledge and experience, and support the creation of Basic Income Projects.
